Hi, I'm Seed Of Eleanor! Thanks for being here! I am a solo artist, born and raised in the SLC, Utah area of this world. I have always loved music, dance, and all other theatrical things; I am a dreamer and always have been a non-conformist. The band that really encouraged me to learn drums and guitar (mainly guitar) were The Beatles. My dad taught me the basics in drums, and I taught myself the basics in guitar tab (had a few lessons after that, then quit). The very first instrument I started playing by ear with was the piano. I remember my dad pointed out some chords to me, and I ran with it (back when I was about 5 years old). I took violin when I was in 5th grade. In later years I taught myself viola, mandolin, bass guitar, and the Greek Baglamas. I am determined to learn more instruments when I get the chance!
I have many other influences of course, but The Beatles were the main motivation I got into making music, back when I was 16. For those who don't know me. I write the music, lyrics, play all the instruments, sing, mix and record everything on my good ‘ol 2014 Mac Mini, because that’s what's affordable right now. I have always loved music and in the past have had a handful of piano and guitar lessons, but stopped each of them, since I found myself cheating on the reading music bit and relying on my ear. I can slowly read music but I'm mostly a ‘by ear’ musician.
I have intermittently practiced and recorded music throughout the years. My first band was an all girl band, but we grew apart, since we all lived far away from each other, and eventually all had kids and got married at different points in time. I also had a band with my brother and friend, years later, but again, life happened: marriage, kids, jobs, etc. Presently, it is all me, and I'm enjoying finally get back into things. Music is my therapy and plan on doing it whenever I can. I will be uploading tracks as fast and as often as possible. I am on Facebook as well, under Seed Of Eleanor!
