From the recording Low Rent Files
I wrote this around 1998, while watching a British drama (on silent), and the music just came to me, as I watched the characters sort of drift in and out of their lives, as if they were on autopilot; not far from this reality. This song has been revised, many a time. The instruments played and recorded by me: Electric guitar, lead guitar, bass guitar, drums and vocals.
Lyrics
Verse 1
She's ready to grow a mustache long
He's ready to go all the way home
I'm ready to cry later tonight
Chorus
I'm ready to change
The way I feel
the way I think
Is so unreal
Verse 2
She thinks she's safe, because she's warm
She'll never know how to live through the storm
And now I'm ready to open my mind
Chorus
I'm ready to change
The way we feel
The way we think
is so unreal
Verse 3
He's ready to go unlock the door
The door is locked inside his heart
There is a reason for all this pain
Chorus
I'm ready to change
The way we feel
The way we think
Is so unreal
